My name is Priscilla O'Sullivan, and I'm the owner of Bellissima Photography. Recently married in 2003, I decided to pursue my first love, (before my husband :) and Bellissima was born! I chose the name because it means "beautiful" in Italian. What a perfect description for those moments that mean the most.
You would think that running my own business would keep me busy enough, but my two year old daughter Kailee has proved me wrong! What I would give to have her energy!
That's the basic scoop on me. Keep checking the posts to find out more!
Here's another e-session. I love this location for the fall, the colors are unbelievable! Vanessa and Brian wanted me to start at their house where we took some quick shots of their cats, they have 3! And on top of that, Vanessa is allergic to them. That is a true cat lover! Needless to say, that was the most difficult shot of the day. We had to work really hard for that one. But the rest were nice and relaxed on this gorgeous fall day.
Here is there super hero impression.
Ok, this was harder than you think. I was helping throw leaves as they were laying there. I am a multi-talented photographer!
Thanks for hanging out with me that day guys. I'm glad the location worked!
Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Very unusual for me, but I've been quite sick and have just lately been feeling better. So you will see many posts in the upcoming weeks.
Here is Amy and Trevor. I met them up in Indianapolis for their shoot. We first started at the Indianapolis Musuem of Art then off to Amy's college.
So I found out as we were taking this shot that this is where Trevor proposed to Amy. How cute is that?
This shot is sorta funny. If you look real close behind them, there are a bunch of candles lit going up the stairs. I didn't realize it when we first sat down, but then all of a sudden two guys came out and asked if we were going to be long b/c one of them was about to propose! The other guy must have been the lookout or something, but apparently this is a popular site for proposals. So needless to say, we hurried our pictures!
Thanks guys for inviting me out to Indy with you guys. I had a great time!
Here is an engagement session that I shot in Chicago with Kelli and Mike. We couldn't decide on where to go at first, but they left it up to me to pick a location, and I have to say this was a great one. I always try to pick different locations for each of my couples, but this one might have to be recycled!
Here are some shots from their session, check out their slideshow down below as well!
I love this series of shots I got of them goofing around! They are too cute!
Okay, I had to put this one in b/c I was squatting down to get Kelli and Mike's picture and this bird just walked right up to me and my bag. Literally, it was 1ft. away from me, just starring at me. This bird is not camera shy!
Thanks for spending the afternoon with me! Talk to you all soon!
I had to put this one in, this is the groom's cake, and Faith actually made it herself! I love baking, but I know I couldn't do this! It looked awesome guys!
Sorry this is such a short post, it's my birthday today!!!! James and I had our 5 year anniversary this past Saturday, and now my birthday! It's going to be a good year, I can feel it!
Well, I'm posting this morning because Bellissima is expanding! I am looking for 2 different positions, so I thought what better way than to ask all of you that frequent my blog.
First, I'm looking to train another associate photographer. That person needs to have some experience and have their own equipment. This is part-time position on a need basis, mostly weekends, and the position requires them to have transportation in and around the Chicago area.
The second position is someone experienced in color correcting images. This person would be in charge of color correcting weddings and portrait sessions, processing customer orders, and will also help do some minor office work in the studio. They will have to travel to Plainfield 2 days a week. This is also a part-time position, 15 hours per week to start.
If you know of anyone that might be interested, please have them email me their resume to info@bellissimaphotography.com
Here is another amazing wedding! This is Aimee and Jay, and their wedding took place in Chicago. They were one of the unlucky couples that had their wedding originally planned at Holy Name Cathedral, and the construction was suppose to be finished by their wedding date, and unfortunately it wasn't. So they moved the ceremony to Assumption Church, which I think is just as gorgeous!
The day started at the Palmer House and then off to the ceremony. After that, we headed to the Kinzie Street Bridge in Chicago to get some shots. Then off to Galleria Marchetti for the reception. Here are some of their pictures from the day.
Here are a bunch of the details
I had the pleasure of working with Misse Daniel from Honey Bee Weddings Thanks Misse for everything.
Well, it's been a crazy couple of weeks, but yes, I'm still alive! My 5 year anniversary is coming up and my birthday in the next 2 weeks, and I'm looking forward to a little r&r with James and Kailee.
But during these crazy weeks, I had an opportunity to shoot my engagement session with Michelle and John. Their wedding is right around the corner in October, and I'm really looking forward to it!
We met in Chicago for their session and I had to parallel park my Durango, which is more like a boat. I love my car, but man, it is hard to find spots it fits in. And for some reason, I can not park this SUV for the life of me. I could be parking in a lot with no cars and I'll still end up on the line or all crooked. I don't know what's the matter with me! This is not the first SUV I've driven. I swear it's the car! Anyways, I somehow fit right into this spot, whew!
So we tackled Millenium Park, which had some great spots. The jazz or blues festival was going on, so we were also being entertained, can't go wrong!
Here are some of their photos.
Check out their slideshow
Thanks for hanging out with me guys, can't wait for your wedding!
